My client is a family-owned façade business with a strong pipeline, modern facilities, and a clear focus on the future. They are investing heavily in people, capability and compliance and are now looking for a Head of Design to lead that journey.
This is a real leadership role, not just managing drawings. You will take full ownership of the design function, raising standards, improving processes, and building a strong, motivated team around you.
What You’ll Do- Lead and manage the design team day to day
- Set design standards and processes that fit the new regulatory environment
- Review and approve drawings and technical details
- Collaborate closely with PMs, commercial, fabrication and site teams
- Support bids and tenders with strong technical input
- Engage directly with architects and main contractors
- Mentor junior designers and build the department
- Proven façade / aluminium systems background (windows, doors, curtain walling)
- Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit/BIM a plus)
- Excellent grasp of CWCT standards, regulations and compliance
- Confident communicator, detail-focused, organised
- Someone who takes accountability, challenges the norm, and drives improvement
