About the Role
We're looking for a creative, flexible and relationship-focused EOTAS Mentor to support a 14-year-old autistic young person accessing an Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS) package through their EHCP. This is not a traditional teaching or tutoring role. Learning is centred around the young person's interests, life skills, community experiences and real-world activities. The successful mentor will build a trusting relationship while supporting learning in ways that feel meaningful, engaging and accessible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a long-term role. For the right person, the manager of the package is keen to offer a permanent position after an initial 12-week period, providing stability and continuity for both the young person and mentor.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable around pets, particularly cats
- Able to work collaboratively with family members and professionals
- Willing to complete a probationary period
Desirable Experience
- Experience or knowledge of: Autism, ADHD and PDA
- Physical and/or mental health conditions and their impact on daily life
- EOTAS or alternative provision
- Mentoring or pastoral support
- Community-based learning
- Developing life skills
- Outdoor learning and nature-based activities
- Cooking and practical life skills
