An established aluminium systems house specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of curtain walling systems is seeking a Mid-level Quantity Surveyor to support its pre-construction and tendering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for curtain walling and aluminium façade systems
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to assess scope and risk
- Carry out material take-offs and labour pricing
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and bid documentation
- Support value engineering and design development proposals
- Maintain pricing databases and market rate awareness
- Work closely with commercial and operational teams to support project handover
Skills & Experience
- Previous estimating experience within aluminium systems, façade, curtain walling or glazing a bonus
- Good understanding of curtain walling systems, aluminium profiles, glass and façade interfaces
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction, Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Experience working for a façade contractor or aluminium systems house
