Are you a caring, patient and motivated educator who wants to make a genuine difference to young people’s lives? We are looking for 1:1 Tutors in St Helens and surrounding areas to support children and young people who are not currently accessing mainstream education. You’ll work with learners with SEND, SEMH needs, Looked After Children (LAC) or pupils with EHCPs, helping them rebuild confidence, engagement, and a love of learning.
The Role
- Deliver personalised learning to pupils who require a tailored approach.
- Teach English, Maths or Science at KS2–KS4.
- Plan engaging sessions based on the National Curriculum.
- Support learners with SEND or SEMH needs, including anxiety, ASD, ADHD or trauma‑related barriers.
- Help children gradually transition back into school or structured learning.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families.
- Create a safe, encouraging environment that supports progress.
This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, HLTA/TAs or learning mentors with strong subject knowledge and a passion for making an impact.

Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English and/or Science.
- At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience.
