Integra Education have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEMH Teacher in the Wigan area to start immediately. Learning takes place in a supportive setting, with small class sizes of no more than 8 pupils, supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants to help meet individual needs. This role is ideal for a compassionate and resilient teacher who is confident supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, and who is committed to building trusting, meaningful relationships to help learners re-engage with education.
The ideal candidate will:

Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons across subjects such as Maths, Physical Education, and early childhood curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour through effective behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Support children’s social and emotional development through mentoring and personalised guidance.
- Conduct assessments of student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians.
- Proofread educational materials for accuracy and clarity, ensuring high-quality resources are utilised in lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive curricula that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Maintain organised records of student attendance, behaviour reports, and academic achievements.
Experience:
- Proven experience working with children in educational settings such as preschools or early childhood centres.
- Demonstrable expertise in teaching physical education, tutoring, or specialised programmes like speech therapy or applied behaviour analysis.
- Experience with special education needs (SEN), including behaviour management techniques tailored for children with additional requirements.
- Prior involvement in mentoring or childcare roles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
