Our client, a leading systematic trading hedge fund, are seeking a Portfolio Construction Specialist who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our client would welcome individuals who are excited by the prospect of combining creative insights with focus on details of portfolio construction to make good investment decisions.
- Strong programming skills, solid understanding of statistics, familiarity working with data, and some experience working with equities are required.
- Implementation and testing of new portfolios.
- Monitoring portfolio risk.
- Portfolio construction research.
- Full oversight of multiple portfolios including monitoring of portfolio composition, performance and risk.
BA/BS Degree in Statistics, Finance, Math or Programming preferred.
Strong programming skills (i.e. Python, Matlab, R, Perl, C++, Java, or other languages).
Knowledge of fundamental investing would also be useful but not a pre-requisite (i.e. discounted cash flows, competitive analysis, financial statement analysis, etc.).
