A leading industry standards organisation with a specialist division involved with setting industry standards for security products used for protecting buildings against crime and terrorism are now seeking a certification project manager to be involved with the product testing, evaluation and certification of products to national and international standards within this sector.
Suitable candidates will be required to provide technical support to customers, manufacturers and end users about the evaluating of security products on resistance and forced entry by criminals and terrorists based on assessing design drawings and conducted physical laboratory tests. You will project manage the certification of customers' products ensuring they meet the required UKAS, National and International standards. You will also help represent the company promoting their products and service at exhibitions and business events.
Responsibilities- Project manage the certification of customers' products to meet UKAS, national and international standards.
- Provide technical support to customers, manufacturers and end users on evaluating security products for resistance and forced entry.
- Assess design drawings and conduct physical laboratory tests as part of product evaluation.
- Represent the company and promote products and services at exhibitions and business events.
- Extensive understanding of product testing and certification processes.
- Technical qualification in engineering, materials, manufacturing or physical science; ideally at degree level, with consideration for exceptional candidates with equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Excellent project management skills, including written and oral communication.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Attention to detail, organised and proactive.
- Strong numeric and analytical skills.
- Willing and able to travel.
