Working on behalf of a local authority, Intech Recruitment are looking for an experienced Asbestos Lead Officer. This will be on a temporary four monthly rolling basis to commence ASAP. The day rate is between £225 to £300 per day paid weekly through umbrella (Falls inside IR35). The rate range is based on level of qualification and experience of the most suitable candidate.
The post holder will act as lead officer on all matters relating to the finding, recording and handling of asbestos. The post holder will advise senior management and external agencies/contractors on Health and Safety legislation related to asbestos in the Housing Property Service, demonstrating the technical and specialist ability to resolve all asbestos related matters innovatively whilst maintaining the strongest sense of empathy for the residents.
Provide specialist advice to professional teams for projects, including multi-contract projects, to ensure compliance with the agreed project design, technical, financial, legal and programme requirements.
Applicants should have proven suitable experience and knowledge working as an advisor on asbestos matters (5 years). Knowledge of asbestos regulation and legislation is essential. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in domestic dwellings is essential.
