An excellent opportunity has arisen with a brilliant life science company for an experienced Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization\’s network infrastructure. This includes ensuring network availability, performance, security, and scalability to meet the organization\’s needs.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, and other network devices.
- Configure and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Implement network security measures to protect data, systems, and networks from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
- Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, performance, and security.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
- Perform network capacity planning and scalability assessments to support business growth.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc., are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment supporting junior team members
