We are working on behalf of a bespoke software consultancy supporting a UK financial services organisation on a greenfield project focused on building a robust data platform and data tooling. As part of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced .NET Architect to lead the design and architecture of the solution. This is a strategic, leadership role—not hands-on coding—where you will define the inner workings of the platform and guide development and testing teams to deliver successfully.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Design the architecture for a data platform and associated tooling (calculations, transformations, aggregation, and processing).
  • Define technical standards and ensure best practices across the solution.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable designs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment with Azure-based data resources and enterprise architecture principles.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a .NET Architect in complex, data-driven environments.
  • Strong expertise in .NET Core and C#.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data-related processes.
  • Deep understanding of Azure, particularly its data services.
  • Experience designing data systems and workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
