VP Identity & Access Management – £120,000 - £130,000 + 20% Bonus – London (Hybrid) – Investment Banking

We are currently searching for an experienced Identity & Access Management SME to join a global Investment Banking organisation.

You’ll lead a team responsible for the operation, stability and continuous improvement of enterprise Identity & Access Management services.

The role combines technical IAM leadership, service delivery and strategic improvement, working closely with Security, Infrastructure, HR, Risk, Compliance and third-party partners.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead an IAM Operations team across onshore and offshore resources.
  • Own day-to-day IAM operations, including JML, access requests, provisioning and fulfilment.
  • Manage IAM platforms including IGA, SSO/MFA, Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Own ITSM processes across incident, problem, change and request management.
  • Drive IAM automation, self-service and workflow improvements.
  • Lead audit, compliance, access recertification and remediation activities.
  • Manage third-party IAM partners, SLAs and service performance.
  • Drive root cause analysis, operational risk reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee monitoring, service health, documentation and operational standards.
  • Work with Security, Infrastructure, HR and application teams on IAM integrations and initiatives.
  • Coach and develop the IAM team while contributing to the wider IAM strategy and roadmap.

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive experience in IAM, security operations or identity platform operations, with 5+ years in leadership.
  • Strong enterprise IAM experience across large, multi-region environments.
  • Experience with Saviynt, Sail Point, Entra ID and Active Directory.
  • Strong knowledge of JML, IGA, RBAC/ABAC and entitlement management.
  • Experience with Service Now, IAM automation, APIs and self-service workflows.
  • Experience integrating IAM with AD/Entra, REST/SCIM, SAP, databases and Workday.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM, SLAs/SLOs, audit controls and SOX.
  • Experience with privileged access controls and complex directory/tenant environments.
  • Exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP identity and Zero Trust principles.
  • Strong scripting experience with Power Shell, Python and/or SQL.
  • Financial Services experience and CISSP/CISM desirable.
