We are working on behalf of a bespoke software consultancy supporting a UK financial services organisation on the development of new, greenfield frontâoffice systems. As part of this programme, they are looking to engage an experienced Senior Software Tester to support both automated and manual testing across complex, businessâcritical applications.
This is a handsâon contract role suited to someone who enjoys working in deliveryâfocused teams and thrives in technically complex environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform endâtoâend manual and automated testing across new frontâoffice platforms
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
- Execute API and UI testing to ensure system reliability and performance
- Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and product teams to identify defects early
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and continuous improvement of QA practices
- Work within Azure DevOps to manage test cases, defects, and delivery workflows
Requirements
- Proven experience testing complex software systems in delivery environments
- Strong handsâon experience with Playwright and/or Selenium
- Development experience using C# or TypeScript
- Solid background in API and UI testing
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
- Naturally curious with a strong testing mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing complexity and working across multiple system components
