Lead Business Analyst – Data & Transformation About the Role Leading Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join their high-profile transformation programme. This role sits within the IT department and will play a pivotal part in the replacement of the bank\’s General Ledger system.You\’ll lead a small team of business analysts, drive data-focused analysis and solution design, and partner closely with senior stakeholders across technology and finance functions to deliver strategic change.Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality analysis artefacts and documentation.Coordinate IT development activities and issues, supporting a major finance transformation initiative.Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions, ensuring clear, prioritised, and actionable user stories.Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and alignment with broader programme objectives.Perform complex data mapping, transformation, and analysis across large, multifaceted datasets.Design and document data flows, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards.Produce process maps, data models, and acceptance criteria to support delivery.Communicate progress, insights, and risks effectively to senior stakeholders.Skills & Experience Required Extensive experience as a Business Analyst, including recent work in a lead or senior capacity within large transformation programmes.Strong data analysis and modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in SQL (SQL Server & Oracle) and Excel.Proven experience with data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.Experience across multiple asset classes (e.g. FX, ETD, Bonds, Credit Products).Exposure to General Ledger or finance system migration projects highly desirable.Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile frameworks (Jira, Confluence).Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.Package Initial 6 month contract£700 p/day inside IR35Hybrid (2x week in London)Seniority Level Mid-Senior levelEmployment Type Full-timeJob Function Information TechnologyIndustries Investment Banking and Banking
