The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of secure network solutions, combining project delivery with senior-level operational support. You will work across firewall platforms, routing, switching, and WAN technologies, acting as a technical escalation point while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers strong exposure to modern security technologies and the opportunity to work closely with customers and internal delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support secure network and firewall solutions
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex network and security incidents
- Deploy and manage firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and network segmentation solutions
- Support routing and switching across enterprise and service provider environments
- Deliver network and security projects to agreed timelines and quality standards
- Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation and network diagrams
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors during delivery and support
- Participate in on-call or out-of-hours support when required
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Network Security Engineer within an MSP, MSSP, or complex enterprise environment
- Solid Cisco routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, IP addressing)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 2–7
- Comfortable working in customer-facing environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
