A leading financial services organisation is looking for an experienced D365 F&O Specialist to play a key role in the ongoing optimisation, enhancement, and support of its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) environment. Working closely with both Finance and IT teams, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology, ensuring D365 is aligned with operational processes, reporting requirements, and strategic business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant who enjoys engaging with stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and delivering business-focused solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the Functional SME for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to gather and translate business requirements into functional solutions
  • Configure and optimise D365 F&O modules to support evolving business needs
  • Lead workshops, process mapping sessions, and requirements gathering activities with stakeholders
  • Support system enhancements, upgrades, releases, and testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Collaborate with technical teams and third-party partners on integrations and system improvements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance and operational processes
  • Provide functional guidance, training, and support to end users
  • Ensure system processes align with governance, compliance, and financial control requirements
  • Contribute to the ongoing D365 roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a D365 Functional Consultant, D365 F&O Consultant, or ERP Functional Consultant
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
  • Experience delivering functional design, configuration, and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Operations processes
  • Experience running workshops and engaging with business stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and solutions
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, testing, and change initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience within Financial Services or other highly regulated environments
  • Exposure to OneStream, Hyperion, or other financial consolidation platforms
  • Knowledge of Power BI and reporting solutions
  • Understanding of integrations, data migration, and ERP implementation methodologies
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications
  • Finance or accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) beneficial but not essential
