A leading enterprise environmental organisation that is government backed is hiring a Cyber Transformation Lead for a 12 month contract paying up to £650 PD Outside IR 35 to be based in Cheshire on a hybrid basis (2 days per week). This is a crucial transformation programme where the chosen Cyber Transformation Lead will be aligned to strategic objectives, supporting the deputy CISO and have direct impact over the Cyber & Information Assurance function.
The chosen candidate will have demonstrable experience acting as an internal cyber advisor aligned with SL strategy and organisation objectives, with the ability to lead/coordinate the resolution of complex/high profile cyber issues and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
Core requirements:
- Develop, refresh, and embed cyber policies, standards, and procedures; track adoption/compliance.
- Provide portfolio oversight and RAG reporting; escalate and drive remediation of misalignments.
- Conduct horizon scanning and brief leadership on implications and recommendations.
- Support the establishment of cyber profession standards with HR/L&D.
- Timely access to SL stakeholders, systems, repositories, and tooling (e.g., policy library, LMS, phishing platform, service management/SIEM, PMO data).
- Availability of policy owners and project managers for reviews and attestations.
SL will provide required clearances, facilities, and collaboration tools.
Core experience:
- Experience within the public sector or local government would be preferred.
- SC cleared, or hold BPSS with scope to obtain SC Clearance.
- Lead/coordinate the resolution of complex/high profile cyber issues and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
