An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global financial services organisation for a Collateral Management Associate. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage their portfolio of lending and liquidity facilities, ensuring optimization, compliance, and regular reviews. As the primary point of contact for banks and lenders, you will oversee facility utilization, reconciliation of loan positions, and the optimization of funding and cash forecasting. Your role will involve maintaining strong relationships with agency banks, negotiating favorable lending terms, and proactively managing collateral and liquidity impact. This is a high profile role within an exceptional team.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage the portfolio of lending and liquidity facilities, ensuring optimization, regular reviews, and compliance with facility terms.
- Serve as the primary contact for banks/lenders, verifying facility utilization requests and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile lender loan positions daily, track exposure, limits, and margins within the Collateral Management System.
- Optimize funding, facilitate loan bookings, manage supplier payables, and ensure alignment with lender parameters.
- Proactively manage cash forecasting, collateral valuation, and liquidity impact.
- Maintain relationships with agency banks, ensuring compliance with facility covenants and negotiating favorable lending terms.
- Monitor loan and collateral positions, resolve discrepancies, and assist in structuring new deals and legal documentation.
- Support ad-hoc projects, reporting, and collaborate with teams (Compliance, Risk, Finance, etc.) to achieve organizational goals.
- Attend training, ensure familiarity with policies, and comply with manager instructions.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a STF Middle Office role within a Bank or Commodity Trading House.
- Strong analytical skills in collateral analysis, risk management, and debt instruments related to Energy and Softs commodities (e.g., borrowing base, transactional facilities, receivable finance).
- Expertise in reviewing letters of credit, supporting documentation, and collateral management processes.
- Extensive experience in collateral/loan/accounting system scoping, UAT, testing, and integration.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and Word, with a strong understanding of system optimization and data integration.
- Business-level fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful, with strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
