An exciting opportunity has opened up for a contract IT Service Continuity Manager to join a leading organisation on a 3-month basis. This is a critical role designed to strengthen the business’s resilience by leading continuity planning, executing service recovery exercises, and managing risk to IT services.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) process and plans.
- Regularly review and update continuity and risk documentation.
- Develop and execute an annual business continuity and disaster recovery exercise schedule.
- Perform end-to-end failover testing and recovery assurance.
- Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure recovery readiness and contractual compliance.
- Identify, govern, and manage business continuity and ITSC-related risks.
- Support the major incident and problem management processes.
- Produce regular status and risk reports, and lead governance meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical architects, delivery managers, risk managers, and project teams.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business continuity efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
- ITIL Certification (mandatory).
- Proven track record in IT Service Continuity Management.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and operational service functions.
- Accreditation or experience with ISO22301, ISO27001, and ISO31000.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify key risks, present findings clearly, and manage mitigation.
