Our long-term trusting client, an independent safety, standards, and research body for Great Britain’s rail network, is hiring a Project Manager who has experience of managing research and standards change projects within the transportation sector. They are paying up to £54,300 to be based in London (near Fenchurch Street) on a hybrid basis for a 12-month FTC, with Health/Dental, 30 days holiday, a bonus, and more.
We are seeking a Research Project Manager to design, develop, and deliver research projects (up to £200k in value), ensuring objectives are met on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. You will lead project teams, manage stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure outputs meet the needs of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver research projects (up to £200k in value) with defined objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Lead project teams, manage stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure outputs meet industry needs.
- Monitor progress, budgets, risks, and issues; implement corrective actions as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with research and standards change requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM PFQ) or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing research or standards-related projects.
- Proven track record in managing projects successfully with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Two-stage interview process, via MS Teams, to start ASAP.
