My client is going through an exciting stage of growth, investing heavily in modernising its platforms with scalable, cloud-native architecture. They are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join their engineering team, working primarily in Go and AWS to build and maintain the APIs and services powering their platforms.
Location: London (1–2 days/week on-site)
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
Employment type: Permanent position
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Go
- Work closely with senior engineers and product teams to translate requirements into working features
- Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and backend services
- Support the ongoing performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
- Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services
Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years' professional software development experience
- Solid experience with Go
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a solid delivery background
- Good understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP)
