End User Compute Engineer / Insurance / London / Competitive Salary + Bonus
Overview:
I am currently working with a highly reputable Insurance company seeking an enthusiastic End User Compute Engineer to join their expanding IT team. This role, based within Global IT Operations, offers an excellent opportunity to enhance technical skills while driving automation, developing self-service portals, and elevating the overall IT support experience. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, motivated to learn, and passionate about leveraging technology to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document standards for EUC endpoints and provide training to other teams
- Manage endpoint configuration tools such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or equivalent MDM platforms
- Manage IT asset lifecycle and tracking of hardware and software
- Work with Architecture to develop and implement desktop platform strategies
- Build, image, and deploy desktop systems and peripherals
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met for all end-user devices
- Plan, test, and deploy OS, BIOS, and firmware upgrades and patches
- Monitor desktop platform performance and deploy End User Experience Monitoring tools
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience working as an EUC Engineer
- Experience with VMware (vCenter + Horizon)
- PowerShell scripting and automation Experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Intune, JAMF
- Apple OS and Apple Business Manager
- Technical knowledge and experience working with Active Directory/Azure AD and Exchange
- Endpoint security tools knowledge
