We are partnered on an exclusive basis with a leading consultancy that is embarking on an internal digital transformation journey and seeking an experienced individual who has the gravitas to lead the future of our clients modern workplace technologies including M365, Azure, AI/Copilot, automation, security, identity and workplace transformation.
This is a senior leadership position requiring someone who can operate as the organisation's technical authority, guide investment technology choices and occasionally provide technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior Technical Authority, providing governance across architecture, cloud, infrastructure and Modern Workplace solutions.
- Define and evolve the overall technology strategy, technical roadmap and architectural standards.
- Lead the technical direction across Azure public cloud, private cloud, hybrid infrastructure and datacentre services.
- Provide strategic oversight of the Microsoft technology estate including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Shape the organisation's Modern Workplace strategy, covering identity, endpoint management, collaboration, virtual desktop and secure access.
- Define standards and reference architectures across cloud migration, modernisation, virtualisation, networking, resilience and security.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities across Cloud, AI, Copilot, automation and digital transformation.
- Ensure technical solutions follow secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles.
- Work closely with senior leadership, customers and commercial teams to ensure technology decisions support long-term business and customer objectives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction to technical managers, architects and subject matter experts.
- Support strategic customer engagements, complex solution design, proposals and technical presentations.
Key Experience
- We are looking for a senior technology leader with strong experience across:
- Technical Authority, Enterprise/Solution Architecture and Technology Strategy is a must have.
- Microsoft Azure – Public Cloud is a must have.
- Private Cloud & Hybrid Cloud environments is a must have.
- Recent hands on experience with Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace is a must have.
- Cloud migration, transformation and modernisation is a must have.
- Industry experience in MSP, Cloud Environment, or Consultancy would be highly advantageous.
- Entra ID / Identity & Access Management.
- Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management.
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Datacentre & Virtualisation technologies.
- Secure architecture, Zero Trust and Cyber Resilience.
- Technical governance, standards and architectural decision-making.
