We are currently seeking an experienced UI Developer to join a high-profile programme with a leading global retail organisation based in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of modern, customer-facing digital products, leveraging React , Next.js , and modern front-end technologies to deliver outstanding user experiences at scale. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers to build engaging, performant, and accessible web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance modern web applications using React and Next.js .
- Build responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces from UX/UI designs and wireframes.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure a seamless user experience across desktop and mobile devices.
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO.
- Work closely with backend development teams to integrate APIs and services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end best practices and development standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve existing user interfaces and applications.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Strong commercial experience developing UI applications with React.js .
- Experience building server‑rendered and static applications with Next.js .
- Strong experience with HTML5 , CSS3 , SASS/SCSS , and responsive design principles.
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
- Strong understanding of component‑based architecture and reusable design patterns.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git .
- Strong focus on code quality, performance optimisation, and accessibility.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
- Experience within large‑scale enterprise or retail environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
