Backend Developer Team Leader

Backend Team Lead – Python / Golang (Russian Speaking) – Trading – Tbilisi, Georgia – Up to €130,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working
Overview:
We're supporting a major trading platform in their search for a Backend Team Lead to drive the development of internal tooling and infrastructure. The focus is on data quality and delivery at scale, across near-real-time pipelines and multiple sources. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring Golang (and/or Python) experience, strong system design skills, and a passion for scalable distributed systems. Russian language skills are essential.
Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development and infrastructure projects
• Optimise CI/CD and internal automation tooling
• Collaborate with other technical leads on platform architecture
• Drive the modernisation of real-time data feeds

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Strong background in software engineering and architecture
• Commercial experience with Go and/or Python
• Familiarity with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
• CI/CD pipeline expertise
• Team leadership and project delivery experience

Nice to Have:

• Trading or finance experience
• Experience with internal tooling or real-time data streaming

Package:

• Up to €130,000 + Bonus
• This is a hybrid role, 3X per week in the office based in Tbilisi, Georgia
