Our client based in Farnborough is looking for a Stores Operative on a permanent basis. They have 4 manufacturing plants worldwide along with R&D and repair capabilities. Their world-renowned expertise places them at the forefront of suppliers, with approximately 200 employees in their UK facility focused on design and manufacture.
Responsibilities:
- Despatch sales orders to customers, including generating despatch paperwork, picking, packing, and releasing to customer specifications and requirements.
- Book work orders to stock and put away in the correct store’s location.
- Reorder gas bottles as required.
- Control and order all packaging material.
- Goods Inwards: be competent in all aspects of goods receiving and book in all types of purchase orders, whether from a supplier or Mexico.
- Control all parts with a shelf life.
- Conduct daily cycle counts.
- Generate all paperwork and labels, and pick all Temperature, Speed, and P&D products as per picking lists to ensure traceability is maintained.
- Generate all paperwork and labels for shipments to Mexico and pick and pack them.
- Transfer and adjust stock on Baan.
- Understand reason codes.
- Scan and upload documents on AutoForm.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.
Experience required:
- Knowledge of Baan or comparable ERP system.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow the company’s and customers' procedures.
- Good numerical and literacy skills.
- AS13001 approved or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an aerospace stores environment.
Essential: Staff in this grade will be expected to be skilled in all aspects of the stores and can train others. They must be familiar with the company’s procedures and be able to host auditors if required. They must fully understand the importance of traceability within an aerospace store.
