Our client is a leading Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) specialising in high-reliability PCB assembly for industries including aerospace, defence, medical, and industrial control systems. They are IPC-certified and committed to delivering precision-engineered electronics that meet stringent industry standards.
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced PTH Solderer with current IPC J-STD-001 certification. The successful candidate will carry out precision through-hole soldering, rework, and inspection tasks to Class 2 and Class 3 standards. You’ll join a high-performing production team supporting the delivery of complex electronic assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out precision through-hole (PTH) soldering in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 standards.
- Assemble, inspect, and rework PCB components and sub-assemblies using magnification tools.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Complete solder joints and wire terminations to meet quality and performance specifications.
- Maintain clean and calibrated tools and report any equipment faults.
- Support quality control processes by documenting defects and adhering to compliance checks.
- Liaise with engineering and QA teams to resolve build issues or variances.
- Current IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience.
