Our client based in Farnborough is looking for an Electronics Assembler / Proto-Type Wirer to join their team on a contract basis. Our client produces work alongside their customers in engineering-led industries which include custom metalwork engineering and electro-mechanical integration.
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble and test electronics assets, including electro-mechanical, surface mount and through-hole components.
- Fault-finding at the top level and down to component level. Rework of PCB assemblies when required.
- Electronics testing, calibration, failure analysis and report writing.
- Maintain accurate reports of rework and testing activities.
- Execute a range of engineering tests, from set-up to running and recording data.
Skills
- Experience building electronic devices.
- Familiar with the use of electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
- Through-hole and surface mount soldering experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, circuit diagrams and schematics.
- A keen interest in electronics.
- Flexible, multitasking-capable mindset.
