Role Overview: We’re seeking a Civil Engineer - Design, to deliver civil engineering designs for utility-scale renewable energy projects Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and Ground Mounted Solar PV. Civil input and design from concept to construction, ensuring compliance, performance, and constructability while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Civil design for PV and BESS projects (site layouts, grading, drainage, access roads).
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analysis.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UK planning, environmental, and CDM standards.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, electrical, and construction teams.
- Provide technical support during construction and permitting processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered status preferred.
- Proven experience in civil design for infrastructure or renewable projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and or Civil 3D or similar software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
