As an international company, we are looking for a Tender Engineer to work in Manila, Philippines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputable university
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in preparing tenders or as a design engineer in a PV field
- Experience in photovoltaics/solar energy is a plus
- Vast knowledge and experience in tendering processes and PV design
- Familiarity with international industry standards, technical codes, calculations, and the ability to read electrical schemes
- Ability to understand customer needs and fulfill tender requirements, conducting transactions within budget and planning
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, and other calculation/simulation programs
- Experience with 2D and 3D design programs
- Good command of Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Enthusiasm for working in a multinational environment
- Detail-oriented with good communication skills
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Result-oriented with good multi-tasking and time management skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Preparing and submitting bids to existing and prospective clients
- Fulfilling all client requirements
- Responsible for preliminary design assumptions to establish a Bill of Quantities
- Preparing bid documents with quality
- Developing detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and documentation according to customer requirements, budget, and planning
- Conducting tendering activities in communication with customers, suppliers, and third parties
- Requesting quotations from suppliers and evaluating their offers
- Developing technical specifications and scopes of work
- Reviewing tender information received from clients
- Clarifying bid conditions and preparing tenders
- Supporting bid/no bid decisions with the Business Development team
- Preparing preliminary technical information and design assumptions for cost estimation
- Responsible for cost and price calculations
- Coordinating with procurement, design, operations, legal, and other departments
- Supporting negotiations and discussions with clients
- Participating in internal tender approval processes
- Organizing bid-related information for process improvement
- Proposing and participating in continuous improvement actions
