INTEC is seeking a dynamic UK Solar EPC Development Lead to spearhead our commercial growth in the UK utility‐scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market. This is a high‐impact role for a proven business development professional with deep industry connections and a track record of closing EPC contracts. You will position INTEC as the EPC partner of choice, driving strategic partnerships and securing large‐scale projects.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute INTEC's UK solar EPC business development strategy.
- Identify high‐value solar PV and BESS opportunities and emerging market trends.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, grid connection requirements, and funding mechanisms.
- Build and leverage relationships with developers, utilities, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Position INTEC for early involvement in projects through strategic engagement.
- Represent INTEC at industry events and forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
- Generate qualified leads and manage the pipeline from prospecting to contract award.
- Drive bid/no‐bid decisions based on commercial viability and strategic fit.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting for UK leadership.
- Lead the preparation of tailored EPC proposals for solar PV and BESS projects.
- Negotiate and close profitable EPC contracts with senior stakeholders.
- Support internal approvals and deal structuring with UK and Group leadership.
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing strategies to strengthen INTEC's market position.
- Ensure seamless handover of secured projects to operations teams.
- Support commercial management to protect profitability and client satisfaction.
- Proven Network: Strong relationships with UK solar developers, utilities, and investors.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in closing large‐scale EPC or infrastructure contracts.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in business development, including 3+ years in UK renewables (Solar/BESS essential).
- Expertise: In‐depth knowledge of UK energy policy, planning, and grid connection processes.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
