Intec Design is a leading hospitality interior design studio based in Belfast. We specialise in creating innovative, high-impact interiors for hotels, restaurants, and bars across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and mainland Europe.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Junior Interior Designer / CAD Technician to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic design studio, working on a variety of high-profile hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings (Vectorworks preferred)
- Develop engaging mood boards to support concept development
- Assist with project documentation and minor administrative tasks
- Collaborate closely with senior designers and project leads
- Adapt to flexible working hours in line with project demands
This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone currently in training, with the flexibility to accommodate a variable work schedule.
Candidate Profile
- Background in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or as a CAD Technician
- Proficient in CAD software (Vectorworks is preferred, but not essential)
- Understanding of the interior design and/or construction/fit-out process
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management
- Clear and confident communicator with a proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
