Join our family-owned logistics business, now in its third generation, as a Traffic Officer & Planning Apprentice and start your career at the heart of transport operations. As you develop, you’ll gain hands-on experience across general haulage, specifically flatbed transport operations.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Candidates aged 19 years will be required to work 45 hours per week. 40 hours a week.

Duration: 15 Months

What you’ll do at work:

  • You will support the processing of proof of deliveries and assist with driver debriefs.
  • The role includes regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
  • You’ll also book agency drivers, carry out administration, and maintain accurate records.
  • You’ll then be introduced to supporting route planning along the way too.
  • Working with a very experienced team, you’ll schedule routine maintenance and repairs for defective vehicles.

College or training organisation: INTEC BUSINESS COLLEGES LIMITED

Your training course: Traffic operator, Equal to Level 2 (GCSE)

Your training plan: The apprenticeship will be delivered with a blend of onsite & online meetings with their assessor every 4 - 6 weeks until completion of the apprenticeship.
