We're looking for a top-tier Security Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team on a contract basis. Your mission is to take charge of our vulnerability management program, safeguarding our digital kingdom by finding, prioritizing, and helping to squash security weaknesses across our entire IT landscape.

What You'll Actually Be Doing:

  • Be the Vulcan Cyber Maestro: You’ll be the driving force behind our Vulcan Cyber platform, using it to orchestrate, automate, and track our entire vulnerability management workflow.
  • Own the Lifecycle: Manage the full vulnerability lifecycle—from detection to destruction. You’ll ensure our defences are robust against emerging threats.
  • Wield the Toolkit: Operate and optimize our security arsenal, including Vulcan Cyber, Tenable, and Defender, to conduct deep-dive assessments and generate reports.
  • Tell the Security Story: Create and deliver reports, metrics, and dashboards for both our technical wizards and senior leaders.
  • Team Up: Collaborate closely with our Incident Response (IR) pros to connect the dots between vulnerabilities, threat intel, and live-fire incidents.
  • Stay One Step Ahead: Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and fixes, translating that knowledge into actionable advice for the whole company.
  • Be the Bridge: Work with IT Ops, Dev, and Compliance teams to get vulnerabilities remediated fast and ensure we’re always ticking the right regulatory boxes.
  • Level Up Our Game: Help us continuously improve our vulnerability management processes and integrate our security platforms into one seamless, automated machine.

Your Security Arsenal (Essential Skills):

  • A solid track record in vulnerability management, cybersecurity operations, or a similar high-tech trench.
  • Expert working knowledge of Vulcan Cyber, including its workflow automation, remediation tracking, reporting, and prioritization.
  • Advanced proficiency with vulnerability management tools, specifically Tenable.sc and Tenable.io.
  • Hands-on experience with EDR and threat intel platforms, especially CrowdStrike and Microsoft Defender.
  • An analytical mind that sees patterns in complex security data and a relentless drive to find the "why" and "how."
  • You’re a master communicator, able to translate complex "geek-speak" into plain English for non-technical folks.
  • You’re a self-starter who can own a project, but also a team player who knows security is a group effort.
  • Shiny certs like CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a massive plus.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, InfoSec, or a related field (or equivalent real-world experience).
  • You’ve navigated the complex jungle of a large enterprise environment before.
  • You speak the language of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
