Our client is seeking a highly skilled Infra/DevOps Engineer to serve as the architect and owner of their core infrastructure. This role is a unique opportunity to join an early‑stage, well‑funded startup building at the intersection of AI and Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will take full ownership of designing, coding, and maintaining a complex, multi‑account Kubernetes infrastructure that powers the AI‑driven cybersecurity platform. This includes managing segregated AWS accounts, each with dedicated Kubernetes clusters, to ensure complete data isolation for security‑conscious enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect Multi‑Cluster Infrastructure: Design and implement the infrastructure‑as‑code for the complex Kubernetes setup, ensuring isolation and operational efficiency across numerous AWS accounts.
  • Scale Operations with Modern Tooling: Manage and optimize dozens of Kubernetes clusters using Karpenter for auto‑scaling, Flux for GitOps, and Kustomize for configuration management.
  • Develop Production Automation: Write robust, maintainable code using Python and Terraform/CloudFormation for CI/CD pipelines, custom tooling, and automated deployment scripts.
  • Ensure Enterprise Security: Implement and maintain high‑security standards, firewalls, encryption, and network segregation across the multi‑account AWS architecture.
  • Enable Velocity: Build self‑service infrastructure capabilities for engineering teams, fostering independent resource provisioning and scaling.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of infrastructure/DevOps experience with deep, hands‑on expertise managing complex, multi‑cluster Kubernetes deployments.
  • Proven production experience with Karpenter, Flux, and Kustomize.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS and managing complex multi‑account architectures for security and scalability.
  • Strong coding skills in Python for automation and tooling, alongside extensive use of Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • A demonstrated ability to build simple, elegant solutions to complex distributed systems challenges.
