Founding Chief Product Officer (CPO) – AI Security Scale-Up
Location: London (Hybrid)
Traditional security scanners are blunt instruments—they simply throw random data at walls hoping something breaks. Our client is different. They have built an AI that thinks like a hacker, identifying complex logic flaws that others miss. They have the proprietary technology and the offensive security credentials (born from a world‑class engineering team) and they’ve just secured significant seed capital to fuel their next phase. Now, they need a Product Strategist in London to take this global.
The Role
- This is a Founding CPO position. You will be the commercial bridge between the technical founders and the UK enterprise market.
- Product Vision: Own the roadmap entirely. Transition the offering from a technical tool to a scalable enterprise platform.
- Execution: Work intimately with the CTO and engineering team to translate high-level business goals into precise technical specifications.
- GTM Alignment: Partner with the CEO to define pricing, packaging, and the sales strategy for the UK and US markets.
- Developer Experience (DX): Champion the 'Shift-Left' philosophy. Ensure the tool is frictionless and intuitive for developers, not just compliance‑ready for CISOs.
Person Specification
- The Commercial Technologist: You understand that the best security tool is the one developers actually use. You obsess over Developer Experience.
- The Builder: You do not want to inherit a roadmap; you want to write it. You are ready to get your hands dirty in the early days to build the machine that builds the product.
- The Translator: You speak both CISO and Dev. You can sell the vision to a bank in London and debate API protocols with engineers.
- The Experience: B2B SaaS experience is non‑negotiable. Ideally, you have a background in Cybersecurity or DevTools.
- The Stage: You have taken a product from Seed to Series A/B. You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a high‑growth environment.
Why Join Now?
Many CPO roles are about optimisation. This role is about creation. You are at the critical inflection point of a fresh funding round, with the equity upside to match.
