What you'll be doing
- We're looking for a part-time bookkeeper to support the finance side of our growing SaaS business. The role suits someone organised, confident with the day-to-day bookkeeping cycle, and comfortable working mostly independently.
- As the business enters a period of strong growth, there's scope for the role to develop over time for someone who wants to grow with the company.
Key responsibilities
- Raise and send customer invoices
- Carry out credit control and follow up on overdue payments
- Prepare VAT return workings for review
- Manage receipts and expenses and ensure accurate coding
- Prepare month-end journals, including payroll, prepaid income and deferred income
- Keep financial records accurate, organised and ready for review by the Finance Director
- Support with other ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as required from time to time
The skills you need
- Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally within an SME
- Confident with VAT treatment, journals, accruals and prepayments
- Comfortable working independently and managing a part-time workload
- Able to work remotely, with the option to attend the office for meetings when needed
- Familiar with QuickBooks Online or willing to learn quickly
- Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business is a bonus but not required
