We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong International Tax Manager to join our Finance organization. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating and managing international tax filings across multiple jurisdictions, supporting statutory reporting, general ledger reconciliations, overseeing indirect tax compliance (VAT/GST), assisting with transfer pricing calculations, and contributing to weekly cash tax forecasting for international operations.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of international tax experience, strong cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
- Coordinate and manage international income tax filings across all relevant jurisdictions, including liaising with local advisors and external service providers.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of non-U.S. corporate tax returns and estimated payments.
- Manage the preparation, review, and timely filing of VAT, GST, and other indirect tax returns across all applicable jurisdictions.
- Respond to VAT-related inquiries from tax authorities and serve as the primary point of contact for indirect tax matters.
- Assist with monthly intercompany transfer pricing calculations in accordance with the company’s established policies and arms-length standards.
- Monitor foreign tax law changes and assess impact on the company’s compliance and reporting obligations including emerging global requirements (e.g. OECD Pillar Two).
- Manage responses to international tax notices, audits, and inquiries in collaboration with external advisors.
- Perform and review monthly reconciliations of VAT and international tax accounts, including detailed flux analysis.
- Partner closely with the Accounting team to support statutory financial statement preparation and local statutory tax filings across all international entities.
- Support return-to-provision true-up processes for international operations on an annual basis.
- Work closely with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment on global tax matters.
- Contribute to the weekly cash tax forecast for international operations, including estimated foreign tax payments and refund tracking.
- Support the international tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, transaction structuring, modeling of tax impacts.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of international tax compliance workflows.
- Mentor and guide junior tax team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Exhibit project management and self-management, communication and teaming skills.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5+ years of international tax experience, with a combination of public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and in-house corporate tax experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with international income tax compliance, VAT/GST filings, and transfer pricing support.
- Experience supporting ASC 740 tax provision processes for international entities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and Legal.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders.
