The International Tax Senior Associate will support the global tax function by preparing international tax filings, VAT returns, transfer pricing calculations, and general ledger reconciliations. This role is essential in maintaining international tax compliance, supporting audits, and assisting with provision calculations and documentation.

What you will do:

  • Prepare and assist with the review of international corporate income tax returns, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare and file international VAT/GST returns and support accurate and timely submissions across jurisdictions.
  • Support the monthly transfer pricing process, including calculations and data gathering in compliance with OECD guidelines and local laws.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking studies in coordination with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Prepare reconciliations related to intercompany transactions and settlements in alignment with transfer pricing policies.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process by preparing general ledger reconciliations related to international tax accounts.
  • Help implement and document international tax processes and support the establishment of new tax procedures for foreign operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Accounting, Treasury, and Legal, to support global tax compliance and reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision, including international deferred tax calculations.
  • Monitor developments in international tax regulations and assist in evaluating their potential impact on the company.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help maintain internal controls related to international tax compliance.
  • Support audit requests and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to build knowledge in international tax issues and best practices.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or progress toward certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in international tax, preferably in a public accounting firm or multinational corporation.
  • Exposure to corporate tax compliance, VAT filings, transfer pricing, and provision work.
  • Experience supporting cross-border transactions is a plus.
  • Experience preparing international income tax and VAT returns.
  • Working knowledge of transfer pricing principles and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with international tax regulations, including OECD guidelines and BEPS initiatives.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems and tax software is a plus.
