We’re exclusively supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead all Health, Safety & Environmental activity at their Port Talbot site. This is a key role with real influence, combining hands‑on leadership with strategic involvement across an international HSE community.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and continuously improve the site’s HSE management systems and compliance.
- Coach, mentor, and influence managers and teams to build a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct audits, assessments, and risk evaluations across complex machinery and processes.
- Investigate incidents and near‑misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Manage HSE reporting, KPIs, and documentation for group‑level review.
- Liaise with customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders during audits and inspections.
- Support compliance with REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Dodd‑Frank, TSCA and related regulations.
- Supervise an on‑site HSE Advisor and contribute to wider group HSE initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or similar.
- Experience in an HSE management role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or equivalent systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and carry out detailed risk assessments.
- Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Confident working independently with integrity and sound judgement.
- Willingness to travel internationally for occasional audits, training, and meetings.
