We’re looking for experienced Business Analysts to support major data transformation programmes within a large, data-intensive organisation. There are opportunities at Senior and Mid-Level, working across programmes involving data transformation, migration, reference data, data ingestion and process redesign.

The Role

You’ll be involved in the analysis and delivery of significant data transformation initiatives, helping to move away from legacy processes and datasets towards more streamlined, scalable ways of working. Depending on your experience, this could include work around reference data transformation, data ingestion, migration, workflow automation and the development of future-state operating models.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead or support discovery and requirements-gathering activities
  • Document current and future-state business processes
  • Facilitate workshops with business, product, data, engineering and operational teams
  • Capture business, functional and migration requirements
  • Develop process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Analyse existing data processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation
  • Understand dataset dependencies and upstream/downstream impacts
  • Support data migration planning and execution
  • Develop and maintain programme documentation, actions, decisions and dependencies
  • Support testing, validation and business readiness
  • Work with delivery teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress
  • Support the development of future-state operating models and ways of working
  • For Senior level, provide more strategic input, challenge existing approaches and help drive decisions across the programme

Essential experience

  • Proven Business Analyst experience within complex data or technology transformation programmes
  • Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills
  • Business process modelling and workflow design
  • Experience supporting data migration or transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams
  • Workshop facilitation and requirements analysis
  • Experience producing user stories, process maps and supporting documentation
  • Good understanding of data management and data flows
  • Ability to manage dependencies and work across multiple teams
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
  • Comfortable working with evolving requirements and a degree of ambiguity

Desirable experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following would be useful:

Contract details

  • Contract: 12 months
  • Start: ASAP
  • Working pattern: Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week in the London office
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Senior rate: £625 per day
  • Mid-level rate: £450 per day
  • Interview: Single-stage, 60-minute interview
