We are exclusively supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead all Health, Safety & Environmental activity at their Port Talbot site. This is a key role with real influence, combining hands-on leadership with strategic involvement across an international HSE community. If you are passionate about shaping culture, improving systems, and driving world-class safety performance, this role offers the autonomy and visibility to make a genuine impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and continuously improve the site’s HSE management systems and compliance.
  • Coach, mentor, and influence managers and teams to build a proactive safety culture.
  • Conduct audits, assessments, and risk evaluations across complex machinery and processes.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Manage HSE reporting, KPIs, and documentation for group level review.
  • Liaise with customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders during audits and inspections.
  • Support compliance with REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Dodd Frank, TSCA and related regulations.
  • Supervise an on-site HSE Advisor and contribute to wider group HSE initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or similar.
  • Experience in an HSE management role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or equivalent systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and carry out detailed risk assessments.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Confident working independently with integrity and sound judgement.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for occasional audits, training, and meetings.
