You’ll join a multi‑disciplinary engineering team responsible for developing and integrating advanced equipment used in highly technical environments. Working on both new developments and enhancements to existing platforms, you’ll play a central role in delivering reliable, compliant, and high‑performance electrical systems.
This is a hands‑on engineering role with broad scope. While strong electrical and electronic design expertise is essential, your work will span control systems, electrical assemblies, safety circuits, and full system integration. You’ll be involved in everything from concept and detailed design through to testing, validation, and ongoing support. You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers, contributing to the integration of complex subsystems into fully functioning equipment.
The role requires working to defined standards and regulations, producing clear technical documentation, and supporting builds, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Success in this position comes from a combination of strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem‑solving approach. You’ll need to be comfortable working to deadlines in a structured environment, while also using initiative to overcome challenges and improve designs and processes.
Experience/Skills:
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or similar)
- Proven experience in electrical and electronic design within an engineering environment
- Strong understanding of control systems, interfaces, and electrical integration
- Experience with power distribution design (AC/DC)
- Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
- Experience designing electrical assemblies, enclosures, and wiring harnesses
- Ability to carry out fault finding, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Understanding of machinery safety standards and regulations (e.g. EN60204, EN13849 or similar)
- Experience producing technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and test procedures
- Familiarity with electrical CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent); 3D CAD desirable
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills
- Effective communicator, able to work both independently and within a team
