We're recruiting for a growing software business delivering enterprise-scale platforms to customers across international markets. With continued investment in technology and engineering, they're looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join their team and take ownership of complex application support issues. This is a great opportunity for an experienced support professional who enjoys technical investigation, problem-solving and mentoring others.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex application issues
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving 2nd/3rd line support incidents
- Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
- Working closely with Engineering and Service Delivery teams
- Writing and maintaining automation scripts
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years' experience in Application Support, Software Support or a similar role
- Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries
- Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in a production environment
- Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket or similar version control tools
- Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Nice to have:
- PL/SQL experience
- Experience supporting enterprise software applications
- Exposure to Agile environments
