Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
• Strong experience with Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Experience with DevOps practices for deploying cloud infrastructure and application artefacts
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tooling
• Azure is the primary cloud platform; AWS exposure would be beneficial
• Current SC Clearance is ideal; recently lapsed SC is acceptable, or we must be eligible and willing to undergo SC/MV clearance
• Experience working within secure or regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder communication skills

We are hiring for a 6-month contract Cloud Architect role on a major cloud transformation programme. The work is hybrid, with 2 days per week onsite near Cardiff for the first month and 1 day per month onsite thereafter, with the rest of the time mainly remote and occasional travel to Cardiff. The role is outside IR35 at rates of approximately £300 to £400 per day, ideally closer to £300, and we can also pay via umbrella if preferred. We are looking for an experienced architect to help strengthen our team after the loss of several key permanent people, and the contract is likely to extend beyond the initial 6 months.
