IntaPeople are pleased to be appointed to recruit an IT Project Manager for a thriving global manufacturing business. This is a permanent opportunity to join a well-established Digital Project Management Office, running SAP projects that support the business's continued international growth.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of SAP projects on the business's current SAP ECC platform, delivering roll-outs and improvements across its sites. The role takes over from an experienced project manager who is moving onto another programme internally, so you will benefit from a structured handover.
You will manage your projects independently, from scoping and planning through to delivery and closure, reporting to a Project Board and working closely with the business, IT and external partners.
Key responsibilities at a glance (further candidate pack available on request):
- Planning: Define and refine project scope, build detailed work plans and schedules, and secure the right resources.
- Delivery: Lead the project team day to day and deliver to agreed time, cost and quality.
- Reporting: Report on schedule, scope, financials and risks to the Project Board, and agree corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Management: Keep business and IT stakeholders aligned, manage scope changes and handle pushback diplomatically.
- Governance: Maintain project documentation, track the business case and manage project budgets
- Closure: Evaluate outcomes, release resources and produce closing reports.
- PMO Ambassador: Use and promote the PMO toolbox and share learning with the wider team.
Experience (at a glance):
- Atleast 5-8+ years' experience managing IT projects.
- Strong experience of SAP modules and SAP implementation or roll-out projects.
- Experience working with SAP applications
- PRINCE2 Foundation and/or Practitioner certification.
- International or cross-cultural project experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Agile certification or experience would be advantageous.
- Experience within manufacturing or supply chain environments would be advantageous but not essential.
Role overview (at a glance):
- IT Project Manager
- Salary on offer is £60,000 - £70,000 - depending on experience.
- Strong benefits package
- Job location – South Wales with hybrid working (approx 1 day per week onsite)
- Permanent role with a thriving global manufacturing business
- Clear path to Senior Project Manager
This role is commutable from Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and the midlands.
