Senior Delivery Manager (Fixed Term intially)
Cardiff (Hybrid - 3 days p/week onsite - this is not negotiable) | Fixed term to March 2027, with a view to a permanent role in April 2027 | £55-65,000+
We're working exclusively with a fast growing Cardiff consultancy.
They need a Senior Delivery Manager to take ownership of delivering client projects, lead the delivery teams and help win new work. It’s fast paced and varied, a senior role with real influence as the business grows.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning delivery of client projects end to end, on time, on budget and to scope
- Leading multidisciplinary teams of developers, BAs, designers and testers
- Managing budgets, forecasts, risks and dependencies across several projects
- Building strong relationships with public sector clients and handling the tricky conversations
- Contributing to bids, tenders, statements of work and client pitches
- Helping improve and shape how the business delivers
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years delivering software development projects as a Delivery, Programme or Project Manager
- Public sector delivery experience. Ideally with local government, education, the NHS or central government
- Strong financial control, including budgeting, forecasting and resource management
- Experience leading technical teams in Agile and waterfall environments
- Confidence managing senior stakeholders and juggling more than one project
- Experience contributing to bids or SoWs
Nice to have: PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Scrum or similar, GDS knowledge, and some understanding of AI, as it’s coming up more and more with clients.
