IntaPeople are actively exclusively recruiting for an established fast-growing Professional Services Client who are set up in Central Cardiff. They are a specialist within their field and are heavily investing into their technology stack to improve market presence and customer product offering.
You will be involved in working on new & existing projects whilst enhancing and testing current systems for R&D. Working closely alongside the development team to provide solutions and thorough test strategies for their web-based applications. This role will primarily focus on shaping and enhancing our testing processes while working on meaningful projects that make a difference.
We are looking to recruit two Software Test Analysts to join this team, so we are open to speaking with several candidates with 3-5+ years experience.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Work as part of a wider Software Development team and report into the Senior Test Analyst.
- Carry out unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, system testing, performance testing, load/stress testing and user acceptance testing as required
- Be able to self-manage and work without constant supervision.
- Aid Product Owners in carrying out Quality Assurance checks throughout sprints when required (ensuring project deliverables are fit for purpose).
- Ensure that test scenarios and scripts are maintained and appropriately structured to reflect priorities
- Co-ordinate UAT and re-testing throughout the organisation in relation to monthly releases and projects
- Attend project planning and review sessions to ensure full engagement.
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- At least 3-5+ years commercial experience within a software testing role
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices
- Ability to identify improvements in processes and systems and communicate these effectively.
- Ability to create and maintain test documentation
- Experience working with testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress or Playwright
- Experience working on or creating automation tests
- ISEB/ISTQB qualifications are desirable but not essential
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for usability and thrive on improving the design and architecture of a system. The role requires someone who has excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work in a highly collaborative environment whilst working alone or as a team for most of the day
