We're working exclusively with an established and growing technology-driven manufacturing business based in Cardiff that is looking to add an IT Support Technician to its internal IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months' IT support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end users, and contributing to the smooth running of business-critical systems.
As an IT Support Technician, you'll provide first and second-line support across the organisation, ensuring users receive prompt and effective technical assistance while helping maintain the company's IT infrastructure and systems. You'll work closely with the IT Manager and wider business, supporting a diverse range of hardware, software, and network technologies.
Qualifications- Minimum 1 year's experience within an IT support role
- Experience supporting Microsoft-based desktop environments
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance
- Knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems would be advantageous
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop, laptop, and network equipment
- Monitor and manage IT helpdesk tickets, ensuring SLAs are achieved
- Maintain IT asset and equipment inventories
- Support software licensing and compliance requirements
- Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and system maintenance
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Deliver user training and guidance on internal IT systems
- Support IT security, compliance, and best practice initiatives
