Our client is a growing and forward-thinking risk management and insurance services provider seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to support a diverse portfolio of business clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist organisation that provides practical health and safety and risk advisory services across a range of industries. You will work closely with organisations to provide hands-on health and safety support, helping them develop effective risk management practices and maintain compliance with relevant legislation. The role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to work across different operational environments, supporting clients both remotely and on site.
About the role
- As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide practical and proactive support to clients across multiple sectors, helping them manage health and safety responsibilities within their businesses.
- You will assist with the preparation and review of key health and safety documentation, carry out site visits and inspections, and provide clear advice on regulatory compliance and best practice.
- This role is well suited to someone who holds a recognised health and safety qualification and has gained practical experience within construction, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment.
- You will be joining an organisation that values professional development and will support the successful candidate in progressing their qualifications, including working towards the NEBOSH Diploma and ultimately Chartered status.
Key responsibilities
- Provide practical health and safety advice and support to clients across a range of industries.
- Prepare and review health and safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements, policies and procedures.
- Carry out site visits, safety inspections and compliance checks to ensure safe working practices and regulatory compliance.
- Provide advice to clients on health and safety legislation, best practice and effective risk management.
- Support clients with incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventative actions.
- Assist organisations in implementing improvements that support continuous development of their health and safety practices.
You will bring:
- A recognised health and safety qualification such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Practical experience within construction, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment.
- Experience preparing risk assessments, method statements and other health and safety documentation.
- The confidence to advise and support clients on compliance and risk management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to health and safety.
