Position Overview
As Director, Broker Marketing & Communications you will lead the marketing and communications strategy for Intact Insurance’s UK Commercial Lines business at a pivotal moment in its growth. Your role is responsible for shaping a distinctive broker‑facing presence, translating Intact’s purpose and values into compelling marketing, communications, and engagement that drive awareness, preference, and trading activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning the UK Commercial Lines broker marketing strategy aligned to brand distribution and growth priorities and delivering integrated plans across products, trading initiatives, campaigns and digital broker journeys including Acturis.
- Overseeing external communications for Commercial Lines including trade media, awards, thought‑leadership events, broker communications across key channels and internal communications in partnership with External Affairs.
- Acting as brand guardian for Commercial Lines broker‑facing activity ensuring consistency of brand identity and tone, monitoring broker perception through industry benchmarks and supporting UK&I rebrand initiatives.
- Partnering with underwriting and distribution to connect marketing activity to broker acquisition, retention and growth, supporting broker value propositions, providing market and competitor insight and amplifying digital trading capabilities.
- Building and developing a high‑performing broker marketing and communications team, managing agencies and external partners, collaborating across UK&I and group teams, and ensuring effective management of the marketing budget.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience leading and developing a large marketing function is required, with B2B experience essential and insurance experience.
- Demonstrated execution of marketing strategies delivering measurable commercial outcomes in a B2B intermediary environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the UK commercial insurance landscape is required, including regional and London Market dynamics, broker networks and competitive positioning, with ideal experience in broker‑facing or intermediary marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience creating compelling content, presenting to senior stakeholders and managing trade media relationships, including securing positive coverage in specialist insurance or business press.
- Digital marketing fluency including content marketing, email campaigns, social media with a particular focus on LinkedIn and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to connect marketing activity to commercial outcomes, apply an extensive understanding of insurance and broker economics, influence senior stakeholders, lead creatively, deliver at pace, collaborate effectively, and adapt with curiosity in an evolving environment.
